Neo-Queen Serenity plays a big role in Serena's life right now and you'll see how it does when you read the story. Published: Favourites 14K Views This is how I imagined NeoQueen Serenity to be ruler of the Nega-Moon Clan. Well actually she is, but in my books her name will be refered to Rena, not Chibi Chibi. When she sent Rini to the past, it made her feel very lonely b/c she didn't have any body to bicker with (besides Rei!) ( WAY) Later in Serena does get pregnant with another daughter, Serena. Clumsy, and very loyal to her friends and family. Neo-Queen Serenity is no different than she's always been. Serena or her nickname "Rini" is born on Serenity's 22nd birthday. Low and behold, everything regarding soloing is now working, without me touching a thing. I need to run as I've got a bunch of errands out of the house today, but will get back to playing around with this later. But, the only thing that the VCA now solos is the "Drums" bus, and not the bass guitar. Instead of assigning the 7 individual drum tracks to it, I realized it should really instead be assigned the "Drums" bus (that the 7 drum inputs are being sent to) along with the bass guitar, since that bus also contains a reverb plugin that I want to be able to monitor when the VCA is soloed. Perhaps this belongs in a different forum, but I thought I'd bring it up while we're on the subject: I tried something a bit different regarding the same VCA. One more quick question along these lines. If it does, I'll get that snapshot to you. I worked as a programmer for a very large computer company for 32 years, and we had an old saying: "Bugs that go away by themselves usually return the same way". Before and after that, I checked "SiP Cut" in the monitor and it was indeed set to -inf dB. Thanks in I just completely uninstalled 4.2.74 and reinstalled 4.3.19 (again). Have I stumbled across a new bug, or is there something else I can check? So, I uninstalled 4.3.19 and reinstalled 4.2.74. Then I started thinking, this was working fine before. There are posts here suggesting several fixes for this (or similar) soloing issues in previous Mixbus versions, including closing and restarting the session, disabling and re-enabling session monitoring, clicking the solo reset button at the top of the editor, computer reboots etc., but none of those steps solved anything. I was starting and stopping the transport using the space bar, as usual. Exact same problems, so it doesn't appear to be an issue with the previous mix.Īlso just wanted to note, I wasn't using the new "Audition" feature. So, the problem is not isolated to only VCA's.įollowing that, I set up a new mix with the same configuration. I ensured that both solo "Isolate" and "Safe" were unchecked on every track, but still no dice. I then discovered that individual track soloing was not working at all either. ![]() The faders for the assigned tracks also move in unison, as expected. The spill button is working as well, correctly displaying the tracks that are assigned to the VCA. The VCA mute button works just fine, takes the drums and bass right out of the mix. When I press the VCA solo button, nothing is soloed. I have a mix that was created using 4.2.74 that contains a VCA called "Rhythm", with 7 drum tracks and a bass guitar track assigned to it. Anyone having problems with soloing using the new Mixbus 4.3.19 under Windows 10? Ryan later aided the Lightspeed Rangers in defeating Bansheera once and for all. He eventually returns to the team to tell them about Queen Bansheera's plan to bring back the demons. Eventually, Ryan manages to find the original cobra and destroy the curse, allowing him to transform freely.Īfter a while, Ryan left to find more information about the demons and how to defeat them, although he left the team with the Max Solarzord to use if they required the extra firepower. In response, Diabolico placed a cobra tattoo on his back, which would move up if he morphed and would kill him when it reached Ryan's neck. After some recall of his memories, Ryan rejected Diabolico and joined the Lightspeed Rangers. Just as the Power Rangers were about to destroy Ryan, Captain Mitchell told them to stand down and called them back and also told them the terrifying story of what happened to Ryan after he told them the reason of why Mitchell ordered the Power Rangers to not fire at Ryan. Fairweather brought the newly-developed V-Lancers, which overpowered Ryan. He nearly succeeded, becoming the Titanium Ranger, but Ms. Diabolico instructed Ryan to steal the prototype Titanium Morpher from the Aqua Base and destroy the Power Rangers (including his sister Dana) with the Titanium Power. Writefull offers language feedback catered specifically to the academic community. For example, it does not flag disciplinary vocabulary as misspellings as the models have seen these words in training, and it keeps functioning when sentences get complex thanks to the training data consisting mostly of complex sentences. But you also notice it in other, more implicit ways. You notice this in the sense that its suggestions make a text sound more scientific – for example, it might suggest to replace ‘a couple of’ with ‘several’ or ‘big’ with ‘key’. Thanks to this focused dataset, the models now give language feedback that is appropriate to scientific writing. In Writefull’s case, we trained the algorithms on scientific and technical content only the training data consists of peer-reviewed Open Access articles. The output of any AI-driven model depends on the data it’s been trained on. Could you tell us more about these advanced algorithms? ![]() Writefull uses Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning processes to ensure its algorithms provide a thorough language editing software. Parsing and cleaning the data, then training, testing, and retraining the models – the first ‘new’ version took months to develop, and the first years of it were mostly about manually checking the models’ results, tracking the errors, and tweaking and retraining the models. The development of this new version required a lot of technical and linguistic expertise. This is where we moved to the current, AI-based version of Writefull. But we also realised that, to fully support authors, it would be best if Writefull would automatically proofread their texts. Writefull’s Full Edit fixes and rewrites even the longest and most complex sentences. Our PhDs were in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) and Applied Linguistics, and we just enjoyed combining our field knowledge to develop an app – it was a welcome break from academia, too. At the time, this was more of a fun side-project than anything else. As we found out that many of our peers did the same, we decided to develop an app that would directly fetch this information from Google Scholar. Being junior researchers and non-native English speakers, we would often resort to Google while writing: we would search for a word or phrase, and use the number of results and the snippets as a sanity check. Two of our team members developed the first version of Writefull around ten years ago, during our PhDs. Dr Hilde van Zeeland.Ĭould you tell us about the history of Writefull, and about the expertise that went into its creation? This fully AI-based feedback mode is capable of rigorous and thorough editing, ensuring all papers – regardless of the author’s native tongue or language proficiency – reach the highest level of technical specificity and style. Writefull has recently taken its software to a higher level, with the launch of Full Edit. This focus does not limit its application across disciplines, however, as the software is regularly tested on papers covering a vast array of topics. Writefull is unique in that its algorithms are trained by and focused upon technical scientific content, meaning its proofreading is tailored specifically to scientists and academics. We also spoke broadly about natural language processing (NLP) and Deep Learning algorithms as they pertain to academic publishing. Research Outreach caught up with Dr Hilde van Zeeland, Applied Linguist at Writefull, to learn more about how these algorithms work. Using highly complex algorithms, it offers a full array of language feedback – covering everything from wording, syntax, and grammar – catered specifically to the academic community. Writefull provides advanced academic and technical writing software that goes well beyond the tools provided by other grammar checkers. There are many different flavors of bevy long drinks available, and the calorie content can vary depending on the specific ingredients used. It's always a good idea to practice responsible drinking and to be mindful of your overall calorie intake. While they are low in calories, they are not calorie-free and can still contribute to weight gain if consumed in excess. It's important to note that, like any alcoholic beverage, bevy long drinks should be consumed in moderation. Bevy long drinks, on the other hand, are typically made with a lower proof spirit and are served in a tall glass with a mix of other ingredients, resulting in a lower overall alcohol content. In MS Excel, these are simply added/viewed as worksheets. External data in the form of life tables (“life-table.csv”) and a parametric Weibull regression analysis (“hazardfunction.csv” and “cov55.csv” containing coefficient and covariance data, respectively) need to be fed into the model. However, it is good practice to group and load all necessary packages at the top of the script, avoiding potential issues when running parts of your code. To set up the model in R, we first need to load packages, which will be used later for plotting data. Numbered sections refer to subheadings within the relevant R script. Fig.2 2 (see ‘THR_Model.R’ ) to define inputs and produce outputs. In R, we focus on one script that follows the sections described in Fig. Information from different sheets is then combined to produce outputs presented on the analysis sheet. In the MS Excel model, there are different worksheets that house inputs, intermediate values and outputs, including “Parameters” listing the main parameters of the model and “Standard” listing the health states and tracing the cohort across these health states over time for a standard prosthesis (see in Fig. This structure can be utilised in other models outside of the case study. Fig.2, 2, referring to the stated subsection headings and relating these to equivalent MS Excel processes. By focusing on using basic R functions, rather than specific health economics R packages, it reduces reliance on “black boxes” and increases the potential for adaptability to suit need. We outline how to conduct these analyses using mainly base R functions. This is then followed by instructions on how to conduct analyses for the expected value of perfect information (EVPI) and the expected value of partially perfect information (EVPPI), also known as the expected value of perfect parameter information, within R. This case study is then used to demonstrate how to integrate survival analyses within sensitivity analyses using R instead of MS Excel. This tutorial first introduces a case study of hip replacement surgery, for which an MS Excel model has been published. However, a comparison of more advanced modelling techniques, such as modelling heterogeneity through the inclusion of survival analysis results whilst conducting value of information (VOI) analyses in R compared to MS Excel, has yet to be done. ![]() Previous health economic evaluation tutorials for R generally run through how to create deterministic and probabilistic Markov models in R. Additionally, decomposition techniques can be utilised to allow for covariance to be maintained during probabilistic sensitivity analyses. Subsequently, these impacts can be fed through Markov models to appropriately account for heterogeneity across subpopulations of interest. Intervention impacts on health outcomes, conditional on patient characteristics, can be quantified through standard survival analysis techniques. Markov models can quantify the impact of interventions on transitions between health states, as well as the costs and outcomes associated with the differing course of actions. The foundation of many such health economic evaluations is often the Markov model. Whilst Microsoft (MS) Excel and TreeAge are visual graphical user interfaces and therefore useful software for learning purposes, R (alongside other programming language-based software such as MATLAB) has higher efficiency, transparency and adaptability in comparison. The benefits of utilising R for health economic evaluations are becoming well documented. Inexpensive: You can pick up a cheap, basic 3.6-volt cordless screwdriver to take care of all those little DY jobs around the home for between $15 and $20. Sometimes you need to go for the full-size alternative.īit storage: Some electric screwdrivers have onboard bit storage, which can be handy if you’re regularly changing from one to another. ![]() However, if you’re looking at drill and saw attachments, it’s important to understand the limitations of these tools. Battery charge indicators are offered on some tools.Įxtras: It’s not uncommon to find angled heads, flexible shafts ,and other swappable extras that can extend the use of your electric screwdriver. Lights: LED lights are useful if you’re working in dark corners. Handle: Some electric screwdrivers have a handle that can be set in two or more positions for user comfort. These are particularly important on the more powerful 7.2-volt models, which produce enough torque to cause damage if you aren’t careful. Although the mechanisms differ, they can increase or decrease power, run clockwise or counterclockwise, solely by reacting to user input.Ĭlutch: A clutch is useful to prevent overtightening of screws. Push drive: The most recent development in electric screwdriver technology is push drive or gyroscopic. With some power tools, this allows you to save money by sharing batteries, but few electric screwdriver batteries are interchangeable, so you need to compare prices carefully. Models with these slide-out batteries are often sold as bare tools, meaning the battery and charger are extra. Charging times can vary from 60 minutes to several hours, so it’s an important consideration for some. You can carry on working while one screwdriver recharges. ![]() This is an advantage for the professional if you have two batteries. Many 7.2-volt models use a separate charger. While charging from a mains socket is fastest, you can also use a laptop, a port in your vehicle, or any number of alternatives. Electric screwdriver featuresīattery: The 3.6-volt screwdrivers usually have built-in battery, which is charged in place, often via a USB cable. If you’re comparing similar models, this can make a big difference. A 2,000 mAh model will outperform a 1,300 mAh model by some margin. ![]() Electric screwdrivers are often rated by milliampere-hours (mAh), and, basically, the higher the number the better. If voltage is out-and-out power, then ampere-hours indicate how long that performance can be delivered consistently. Milliampere-hours: The other consideration for both types of electric screwdriver is the ampere-hour (Ah) rating, sometimes just called amps. For heavy-duty jobs you want a 7.2-volt electric screwdriver. The 3.6-volt screwdrivers are almost always notably more compact, exactly the kind of thing you’d keep in a kitchen drawer for occasional DIY tasks. In real terms, the big difference is between 7.2-volt and 3.6-volt screwdrivers. Some manufacturers choose to quote the higher figure. ![]() Thus an 8-volt electric screwdriver actually runs at 7.2 volts nominal, and a 4-volt electric screwdriver runs at 3.6 volts. They return to the normal (nominal) voltage in fractions of a second. Let’s explain.Īll motors produce a power surge at startup - a voltage spike. Recently, there’s been some confusion with the introduction of 4-volt and 8-volt models, but they aren’t actually more powerful. Volts: There are two output options when choosing an electric screwdriver: 3.6 volt or 7.2 volt. It’s easy to use, easy to store, yet powerful enough for all those different screws you come across, whether at home or in the workplace. But an electric screwdriver is precisely that. It isn’t a small, lightweight gadget you can drop in a pocket or keep in a kitchen drawer. Some people use a cordless drill/driver for screwdriving tasks, and it’s certainly a powerful and versatile tool. Key considerations Why buy an electric screwdriver? The compact size of many electric screwdrivers means you can keep one in a drawer, glove box, or the pocket of your overalls while you work.
